Normally when people start their vacation they tend to slow down the whole process, take time off and just live day to day... well, "normally" doesn't really come that easy to us.
Before I drove up to the cabin where we usually spend a couple of weeks each summer, i packed the car with 2 teens, a 12-year old and a whole lot of gear for video production, we're talking stands, lights, cameras, lenses, tripods and everything else the crew would need to get the job done.. phew..!
When we work we go all in. We spend hours/days just focusing on getting things right, wether it's in the studio, doing photo shoots or rehearsing with the band. Being on vacation meant that there were others who craved our attention, so we're juggling beach time, barbecues to feed 13 people (Andrea made it work like magic), sports and of course video productions., so getting bored was never on the menu ;). Also discovering during family karaoke that the 16 year old's a future heart-throb made life even more great!
If you ever made a music video, you know that it takes way more hours than you initially planned for. I put some of the blame on myself since i don't have the palette of emotions in front of a camera that Andrea possesses. When they say " look at each other, smile, cause you're in love" Andrea produces a beautiful smile with the right emotion attached to it, while in the meantime i manage to create a grin in the likes of a teenager awkwardly smiling on a school picture.
Since the video demanded different state of minds we shot all the happy scenes during the day and the more serious scenes at night, so just like boring, sleep was also excluded from the main menu ( but we ordered it as a side dish :)
But we're really excited about the release!! Really looking forward to share it with you all, and we're counting the days to the 28th of august!!
That's all for now, see ya'll next week.
